Question South Shore bird action

Sometimes cormorants can get the real birds stirred up. I wish they would find a cormorant eating Piping plover eggs.

wrong place at the right time.....it's happening, just not on the scale that you'd like to be,,,give it a little more time, but be ready....the weathers' going to kick it into high gear any day now

I was out in Clammer's neck of the woods a few days ago...saw what you saw....birds diving, picking away at the silver-sides, saw schools of peanuts leisurely swimming underway.....although I was targeting Fluke, there were some bluefish present.....along with TONS of dang Sea Robins!!!

...it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

This is how fishing off the Race was for a lot of last year. Macks were driving up the sandeels but no bass around much of the time.

I have seen this type of behavior off shore (sand eels, macks) being worked on from birds but no fish predators beneath. Haven't seen this inshore though.

There have been bluefish busting most mornings and evenings under the bait for the last 2 weeks along the south shore. You just have to be in the right place. Fish up to13 lbs.
