RE:Ironic ??
AOL is really a bad ISP when it comes to IP numbers. I don't know how your ISPs work but with AOL, you dial into a local server that connects you to the big AOL server. I have about 5 local servers and each server has a majority of numbers. If you are in an even more populated area than good old Fairfield such as anywhere else imaginable, you could have dozens of local servers with literally hundreds of numbers. I use mostly the same number because I get a good connection with it. If it is busy or I have trouble staying connected, I might try another line. That is why my IP number changes sometimes. On some other boards, they claimed to know my IP address but I knew it was total bunk. They know one of my IP addies. I could use the other dozen numbers and pull out with a different one. Ever notice when something is screwy, either Microsoft or AOL is behind it? Hmmmm. Conspiracy theory.
