I got a form for that with my dockage contract this year. I think J Powers is correct about why they do it even if it isn't entirely true. Yes boats don't use gas on the roads but to assume boats don't use the roads would be wrong. Since most are transported to the water over the road, they indded do use the road. Only very large vessels don't usually go over the road ever in their lifetime. But that's just getting too picky, you'll have to excuse me I'm a little wiped after 23 hours in the multi-purpose van with 2 small kids and a cranky wife.(didn't find any vacancys when we were looking for a room last night in Delaware)
