Hahaha, it's not the coffee.

they all use the same body, all of them, bailed, not bailed size 20 to 27

the difference is the rotor size and spool size.

the 20/22 share the same rotor and use different spools

the 25/27 share the same rotor and use different spools.

the weigh difference is a couple oz from the 20 to 27 due to the bodies being the same, which sucks has the 20 is about the size of a vs150 but weighs 5 oz more.

The 27 rocks, and just get a spare 25 or 27 spool if he wants to switch to lighter braid.

Thanks for clearing that up, Chris. I always say they have different bodies when I mean diferent rotor assemblies.

I purchased a 27 spare spool for my 25 but when the performance was so much better, I sold the 25 spool. The 27 casts noticeably further and as mentioned earlier, having extra line is never a bad thing. The 27 spool also creates a slightly faster line retrieval. I use it on a setup with low riders(gsb1321M) and it casts almost as well as my emblem. Never once had a problem with line getting under the roller during a cast(had it happen many times with a 706 or converted 704 though).

I know it wasn't the question, but I would definitely go 27 on that setup.
