Definately get it serviced. Mine go in at least once a year even if they are fine, multiple times if there is an issue of some sort. I have an older reel that must go to OK and have no complaints. My newer reels go to Rivers End and I couldn't be any happier with the work Q and the guys do on the reel. The only benefit to Rivers End is that I work about 20 minutes away and therefore don't have to deal with the shipping required of my old reel.
