Yup...looks like next week is going to be between 41-48 out there every day. I'd say that we've had a better start than last year at this time, though.
Still haven't turned on the heat in the house yet!
I'll put up another forecast this time next week.
Unlike last year, we have another two weeks of cold in January (and I get to go to Bob's party for once).
Later,
Rick

I'm still looking for a place to park on the South Side near rt.20. Looks like Streeter is closed in the winter and the only place to park is the Long Pong Boat Ramp on the north side of rt. 20.
Rob or Raven, can you guys send me a pm and let me know where we should be parking?
If we need to, we can always go back up to Champeaux Rd, but I'd like to try the south side of the res.
Thanks,
Rick

I will scope it out this weekend. I know that even though the main lot there is closed during the winter there is still room for cars i will get a count. I may have another option as well. PM to follow.
Glad it's on the right side of the pond this year. It will be worth the parking headache. Starting to get a crew together. Can't wait for the REAL BBQ place. Can't remember the name for some strange reason But last time we were there the owner said it was a BYOB joint. Luckily for Joe and I we had a 30 pack in the truck. Rick post the name if you can. UNREAL smoked BBQ with all the fixings. The owner is a great guy and takes pride in his food. It's a small hole in the wall in a small town and has been very busy the few times we visited. I have only been there 3 times and the owner was there every time WORKING and taking pride as he should. Nothing like it around!
Across the causeway on Champeux rd. is good there is a nice channel and some deeper holes over there. The year I went two yrs ago I fished that side and we had 19 fish or so. Not a bad walk from that lot either Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device

We're going a little further to the south. Should be just off rt. 20 where the terrain is a little more varied.

There is probably about the same amount of room here as the lot off of Champeaux. There is also another small lot that can hold an additional 6 cars or so right at the top of the driveway. This is the closed boat launch n the south side of rt 20 on the west side of the causeway.
I did some net searches and didn't find anything about another tourney on our date. I'll keep my eye out. It's the same weekend as the Hopkinton tourney this year, so we might be ok.

Weather keeps looking better and better. I read on another site that the water temps are a month ahead of where they were last year as far as cold goes.
I'm going to be booking our rooms after XMas. Anybody else going to be staying at the Motel 6? Jay's BBQ place is right next door, I guess.
Anybody planning to go out on Friday, as well. Just trying to figure out if we should put together some plans for Friday night.
