kutzalls are great, but they are a pain the butt to clean them out. Best way I've found is to burn off the wood debris. Wire brush afterwards.

Good call on starting with the Forstener bit...that way the kutzall doesn't stray off and gouge out the popper mouth.

I use a 1" Kutzal from Woodcraft and clean it up with a 3/4" ball rasp from Cutters and Endmills - Rotary Files & Burrs - FaberSurplus to clean up the cut. Two steps but pretty fast to do.
