Old Rods………Good Uses
Have a handfull of old broken rods. Most have broken tips but aren’t good enough quality to try to repair. Anyone have any good uses for a broken rod? I hate throwing fishing stuff out. Interested to hear what creative uses you guys have done with old broken rods.
One of them is pretty beefy and I was thinking of adding a new tip for a kite rod (not that I kite fish or anything ).
Also, I got a Go Pro from Santa. Was thinking I could somehow make a mount for the camera from one of the rods?????
Anyone have any ideas?

Definitely a GoPro underwater reach pole! See the GoPro Hints thread in DIY.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Many guys look for broken rods to make gaffs out of like WPM suggested. I myself have made several to look like just like fishing rods. Cork grip, wrapping it with appropriate colors and so on.
