we had a good 5-6" today small pond that is protected from the wind. 1 st time out for my 6 year old and picked up a nice fish on the first drop . she cant wait to do it again. yet it was a short day aprox 1 1/2 but she loved it and all that matters. hot co-co and snacks help.

6-8" average at both ponds I fished this weekd up in Westford and N Chelmsford.

For some places last weeks wind and rain were a death knell for the ice, whee on others it just cleaned the crap ice off the top leaving smooth clear black ice!
People were skating everywhere I went. (even some while they fished!)
