There have been worse storms but closer to the coast the first few hours of the storm made the heavy crusting coat which caused all the down trees. Here is the house behind me, I think there was a microburst because 1/2 dozen trees went down in a small area. https://plus.google.com/photos/11648...CIbc5rChqbC2MQ

A survivor of 78. In Providence Marriott at start of storm. 56 inches of snow. Drifts so high, had to get up to the 2cd floor to see out the windows. Families found dead in cars. One blueberry pancake to eat in 3 days. Walked to Attleboro, Ma on the rte 95 dividers in platform shoes and bell bottom pants. Didn't get back home to Franklin, Ct until Sunday (storm started previous Monday or Tuesday morning). Every storm since can't compare... My buddy's car was found in Providence under 25 feet of plowed up snow. Got it back in May... Hard to forget. I'm 58.
