CTS vapor trail 11' 3-6oz has been my go to rod for the last 2 seasons. I throw 1.5oz thru 4oz and for me the sweet spot is 2-3.5oz. rod is very light and fights fish extremly well- best fish so far is 40# in canal on a running tide.

Is it a good rod for casting long distances? And does it have good backbone? Can you throw jigs on it? |

josh- where do you live? maybe we can get together and you can cast mine. throws plugs VERY far, as i said it has the sack to land a 40# in the canal with tide running hard. i've never jigged with it.

I live in Bellingham, Ma. But in the spring and summer I pretty much live in the cape. I camp at bourne scenic camp ground during the summer so im there all the time. Where do you live? |

If your getting this rod "just" for the canal Century 1328 factory is fine .. no need for custom ..
