FYI...
39 degrees in the Everglades this morning. Jeanne's birthday and she's always wanted to do an air boat in the Everglades. If you guys ever get a chance...do it. Very impressive flora. Not many critters as it was just to cold but an hour of air boating thru the mangrove swamp was wild.

I'll post some pics when I get home.

No boat, back in the suds.

Did you go out of Everglades City? I went on one a few years ago there. The driver would attract gators with a small fish, a big no-no. Sometime last year he got his hand bitten off, and then was charged by the F&G for feeding them.

Got a picture of him doing it on our ride.

Paul - Nice rig ... enjoy it.

As for the gators down there ... we were canoeing in the no-motor zone in Everglades National Park on July 6 one summer in the late 1990s, hot as can be, buggy as can be ... but great fishing ... the one thing that was a bit unsettling was all the gators that would suddenly appear by the side of the canoe to get a close look at us ... it was kind of a pain, as you couldn't reach down to grab your fish, you had to yank them into the canoe by the leader for fear of losing your hand ...

"It was the blackest night! There was no moon in sight! (You know the stars ain't shinnin cause the sky's too tight) "
