I saw and spoke with ten S-B members, yet still missed Spin, lamigsb, and jredfly.....

I was able to spend a couple hours with Al after the event and finally got him to understand why the audience was confused... as the majority of them fish the mouth of the Merrimack, Annisquam, or jetties and outflows. I hope he will do an article on the subject, as it did not click with me.....

We went to Surfland afterwards and were treated to a history of reels.... Martha has a collection that was simply amazing, and we didn't see an eighth of it. Many NIB, some still sealed in factory bags.... While I do not have the wealth of knowledge about them, I could at least appreciate the history I was holding! Al was blown away, I think, as he had fished many of them. I had never seen a thumb brake.... She had an original box of the leather brakes! As Zeno said to me, someone should have had a video........ Kay also showed us her collection of PI photos over the years, going back to 1850s. The girls were great and I truly appreciated it.

Lastly, I was impressed with the Release reel. Made in USA! Hope to see the lefties at RISSA!
