paul, check out the Guide grade stuff from Cabelas. Pricey but worth it in my opinion. I have had the bibs for 7 years and they have kept me dry and warm. Think they cost me $225

I also have some Cabelas Guide wear Gore-Tex bibs and jacket. Very dry and light weight. Very comfortable. They fold up very small when not in use.

I can't recommend the Simms Paclite jacket enough. Super light, fully breathable, saltwater safe (zippers) and keeps me fully dry. I got the 2011 model new off eBay last year for $70.
