Break it all the way thru.
Mix 2 ton epoxy as it should be mixed and coat each side of the break as you would if you were gluing 2 pieces of wood together. Not a mountain of glue, but make sure it's covered.
Press it back together, Firmly, so as much glue as possible squeezes out. Hold it tightly together with masking tape until it drys and precisely trim the excess off with a straight edge razor blade.
It will never come apart again and all you will see, if done correctly, is the hair line crack that was already there to begin with.
I've fixed many a broken plate, lamps, platters, toys etc.....

Question hey

since were sorta on the subject of porcelain....sorry to hijack

is there some new kind of white paint to mend chips in sinks or tubs?
