I have a spinning 1 piece, Honey Lami, cork handles wrapped by the late Dave Hammock at Murats in the 80s. Been sitting for 20 years in the basement. Perfect condition. It might be a little stiff for 1 oz stuff but will certainly throw 2 to 4 perfectly. This is and "old guard" type rod. $125.00 firm. I have to go to CMS tomorrow and will be in your area if you want to look at it.

I still have this sitting in the rod rack. I'll let it go for $100 if you are interested and can figure out a way to get it from me in either RI or CT.

Not sure what "braid friendly" means. They are almost new. Old guard I mean cork handles. Not cork wrap, or shrink wrap. Old fashioned cork rings. If I have a chance, I'll post a picture

The rod has ceramic guides. It was made in the 80s not in prehistoric times.

Yup, that's it Kev. It actually is a really nice rod. I had forgotten about it and found it in a corner with 5 or 6 other Murat rods including an 11' E or S (brown) glass wrapped by the master himself Charlie Murat. he died in 71 so this rod is probably 45 years old. I will not sell that rod.
