Just let me know where and when I'm a diehard, fished a ton last winter. I usually target big pike and iced over a dozen, had at least six of them between 8 to 12 lbs. all in Ma. Still looking to break 15 lbs but the places I fish there are ones over 20.

When we get fishable ice...I will put up a thread and host a day of ice fishing, probably in Plymouth! Maybe someone would like to host a day someplace else??? We can have a little S-B ice fishing derby going for largest species. So as we ice up, keep your eyes peeled for the thread.

Funny, man. I mean Vietnamese spring rolls. Yeah, I hope so. It's getting colder now.
BigFish, is there any special warm gear should I equip myself from? Like Cabaleas?

No problem, BigBo. As long as no one mistake it for a carrot juice or a peach juice that is made from a concentrate can.
Oh btw, do you guys eat freshwater fish? I don't.

Real good boots are essential. If your feet get cold your screwed..time to go home...
The rest should be obvious..

Yeah, the Cabelas catalog doesn't keep ya very warm unless ya burn it. I tried pasting those pages to myself but they weren't too warm.
Seriously though, like Van says, good boots are an essential. Once your feet get cold or wet, you're all done. As for the gear, you can spend as little or as much as you want. You can start with $5 tip-ups and go from there or you can go to companies like Frabill and get quite a bit more elaborate.
Don't spend a lot until you decide standing on ice is for you.

If there is ice, I'm playing hockey, but I am willin to join in, since it always involves consuming large quantities of the nectar of the gods. Another of my favorite pastimes that I was born with a knack for.
