All weeds, all the time. I switched to a brand new black Gibbs Danny, hoping to stay above the weeds and debris. I backlashed on my first cast and as I doled out line to untaggle, the line got wrapped under a rock lip near the water's edge. With four foot waves smashing on the rock, I decided not dgo near the edgem but to try and muscle the plug home. Snap!

Night Over

The sad part is that I never caught a fish on that plug If I had, I'd be like, "that plug is so worth it" and I'd go buy another one. Unfortuantly it never had the chance. It was a plug that caught a fisherman, and it may catch the same one again,

Will the black Gibbs Danny be a prodocuer this fall-run?

Water's clear as of this AM out front -

White water was perfect, beautiful sunrise - if there had been fish around it woulda been freakin' great

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
