Just fish the same rod you currently use but only go out on nights when the wind is at your back...

As far as rods I currenlty have experience with, my GSB 120 1M is my go-to eeling rod. Plenty of power to turn a big fish, soft enough to be able to lay a full cast into an eel without pulling the hook and light enough to fish all night.

I do enjoy fishing my SB 121 3M with eels, but only have that as a conventional. Not too many fish that rod can't turn and it has the parabolic action I prefer when tossing eels. Never tried that stick wrapped as a spinner, but that may be in my future if my newest toy doesn't work out the way I hope it will.

I did just pick up a St Croix 4SRS110MHMF2 on Saturday to wrap for the coming season. If this blank does what I hope it will, my 120 1M may see little use this season.

Century Stealth 2.

Its too bad I didn't notice this thread befor the show. We could have tal;ked about it and gone over to Hatteras Jacks both. They got about 3 that might work but to me the best candidate would be the Stealth 2. Its a 10 footer rated 1 to 4. Its an autoclaved blank. Unbelieveably good stuff for Northeast striper Fishing coming out from century now!

After I left the S-B both I got the belt and stopped at the hatteras Jacks both. Ended up buying a Stealth 2 10 footer and probably would have bought a heavier model Dave showed me which would be a better version of the XRA 1322 for the Canal made by Century but I didn't have a ton of cash on me.
