Didn't think you were speaking for him but I was wondering if there had been a thread on that. I thought that I heard something along those lines but it was just in passing.

I have so little time to follow the threads here at times that I rarely get over there....

It' a moot point as far as I'm concerned. I have so many yummy ledgerunners right now - there ain't no room for any more rubbah.

John - I certainly can't speak for Tim, but from what I understand, MarineTropic is more than willing to have (pay for) a banner at SOL, and Tim seems willing to have him do so....however, with all the software upgrades and the server change Tim is doing, the Banners have been unavailable for quite some time, and will be until his upgrade is done.

As far as whether he will sell them, not sure on that....

Of course, there are some folks over there that are sour on the whole thing because of the shinaniganes that have taken place, here, there and elsewhere. And whether MT just had some exhuberant friends trying to help him out, without his blessing, or not, is still up for debate....

Here's the short version---I caught one guy registering multiple handles for the apparent (and only he knows his motives for sure) purpose of adding "weight of numbers" so to speak, in support of the effectiveness of Penetrators. I arranged for that one guy to be unable to register and post without going thru some hurdles in the future. Tim supported me in that. MarineTropical, who was NOT the person I caught, offered to let Tim and I try out the lures. And he and Tim (this is confirmed by Tim in the threads) have spoken about a banner sponsorship. But as Steve said, with all the server problems Tim has had, that's on hold until Tim tweaks things out.

And since none of us can read minds, Tim is giving him every benefit of the doubt on whether he's encouraging people to do what's been going on here, SOL and SS. Just as an aside, I've fished with gonefishing, and he seems like a straight shooter. He knows MT too, and says the lures are very effective. And that MT is a good guy and a straight shooter, too

What really turned me off was the way the Penetrator choir there trashed Ledgerunners, one of them saying they look like something you'd apply shoe polish with And some of the idiotic claims about how their "unique" jighead, nothing more than a garden variety 1-1/2 oz bullet jighead, was the key to getting it down underneath blues.

None of these attacks and/or claims was made by marinetropical. It looks like a case of well-meaning friends trying to help out in a way that turned a lot of people off.

Shoe polish hmmmm, well back to the drawing board. I'll need to make some design changes. Maybe Bloo can come up with a master sketch for me, 13 inch Mega Polisher, scoope tail, buffing mid section and a soft brush head to buff out between coats. Just how to pour it up out of plastic.
