Anyone heard of the penetrator?

I was up at goose hummock and bought some penetrators, I heard they work very well with the bass and weakfish. Has anybody tried these? If so, is there anyplace else where I can buy them other than goose. Thanks! By the way I only saw one color (silver) do they have any other colors?

this is how it started on the other boards. Every time a guy asked about this lure it was the owner or his friend and it was their first posts. Lets see where this goes.
sorry if it is not them this time I just thought it funny

Ahhhwww Jeeez... Nah. We only have one custom soft plastic bait around here. LEDGERUNNERs! Got Rubba?

"I'm really stoked to try them"

Sadly I was hoping this would not happen but it does appear as though we have another "Plugging" for "Penetrators" on another site. Now if I had just shut up here, sometime tomorrow we would have someone from Penetrator saying in a JP Waterman voice - "Why yes, I have your Penetrator right here, err, I mean at Goose Hummock" "And try the Ugly Mug down in..."

Listen - I'm not going to knock the baits - I haven't used them before so I can't say one way or the other. But I'm not a fan of people plugging a product or bringing up a product on their first post in what appears to be a sales pitch. This REEKS of deceptive advertising & spam. This REEKS the same way it did over on SS & SOL.

Hey "Plugger" - I may be wrong and if so I appologize but I seriously doubt it. But this smells just like the start of previous threads at other sites. new member #1 "Have you heard about..." new member #2 "Gee, no tell me about this wonderfull profuct..." new member #1 "Well 77, you see it's like this..."...

I also find it interesting that I just had an e-mail from MarineTropical the other day, the owners / distributors of this product and I told him I would check them out. That's when I heard it was these guys...

Again, I'm not gonna knock your product - I have nothing of value to say about it, but I really truly believe that this reeks of setting up free advertising...

Thanks cape sam for the info I will give mark a call at goose. Sorry guys you have the wrong guy. I know this was my first post, but I had asked a friend about these penetrators and he recommended to ask someone at this site because it deals with new england fishing and the cape. So since I bought the damn things at goose i figured you guys would have something good or bad to say about them as I have yet to use them. Bought them late last year. Anyway, Has anyone used it yet and if so whats the scoop?

Plugger - I do hope I'm wrong but this has happened at at least 3 sites in the last month or so...

Anyway - where are you from?

Okay, the weakfish reference is a dead Mid-Atlantic/Noo Yawk giveaway to me.

You're right WeeWee. No Goose Hummock employee is going to tell someone that it works great on weakies.

Plugger, you're suspect.

Remember - "Family Friendly" site

WeeWee - good point. Anyone ever catch a Squet north of Buzzards Bay? Not in the Tarpon in LI Sound, OJ being innocent "It COULD happen" sort of way, but anyone regularly fingding weaks off the Back Beaches? Or into Boston? I heard of one that was caught a few YEARS ago but the fartest north and east I've heard them targeted is in Mt Hope Bay...

Let's ask the folks at the Goose if any weakies are caught East of Bass River, or North of Buzzard's Bay for that matter.

And...correct me if I'm wrong, but "weakfish" ain't the local term for that fish.

I have so enjoyed the "subtle" approach the owner and his friends have taken on the other boards. Subtle only if your not old enough to walk yet, to most it's blatent spam, no doubt about it.

No skin off my nose, I'll post my link in my signature on other boards or answer direct questions if board rules allow. I might have posted a picture or two on a larger board south of hear just to tweak his nose, ironically I'm about to ship him 100 big and mega jerks in black over red.

Nice to be a sponsor and have some posting privledges, especially on a friendly board I consider home. Tight lines and always carry rubber, you never know when the opportunity might present itself.

Hey Mike your orders up next, been a little busy and now I'm fighting off another bout of pnuemonia. On the plus side, I now have a 16 year old laid up to trim baits for me. I'll have it to you by next week, as soon as I can stand some fumes, I'll be back at it.

Unhappy

JohnR, What is it with this board? I am out on the island in new york. Where are you from? I fish alot at montauk and robert moses and jones beach. I went into the other message board to find out about ledgerunnerbaits and it seems that they think I am marineT. I am not marineT and it seems that some of the guys on here are kinda nasty. Who cares Penetrators, ledge runners, whatever works. I'm just a friendly fisherman, Last time I ask anything on this board. Geezzzzzzz

Yep, dem ledge runners work pretty well at the Sore Thumb and Demo. Heck, even dredged up a keeper fluke @ the Captree docks on one.

Plugger I'm from Mass but I'm now in Rhody - the best little fishing state in the country ... It just seems a lot like the start of the thread on SS that sounded like a "Plug" for a product. Made worse by the fact that you registered as "Plugger" and your first post was a plug for another product. We've seen stuff start off like that for years now - long before SS, SOL, or S-B ever got their starts... When you say you went to the other board to ask about ledgerunners - now I'm confused. Who did you register on the other site as? Can you see how easy it is to believe that your intention is to pitch for the Penetratsors?

In a nut shell, yes, they all do work. I know I speak for many when I say that we know that the LRs work great up here and that's based on experience. the Penetrators? We'll see.

Anyway - I hope you see where people are coming from...

Thanks,

John

JohnR, Yeah I understand where you are coming from. Kind of ridiculous but i guess it makes sense. Sorry, I am a plugger, as in I like to fish with plugs and lures . So, hence my name. Also i know there are no weakfish way up north there. But they are here in long, Island and jersey. I know the penetrator works great on bass, I figured i would get more input. Thanks to you guys i saw there advertisement on another bass site. Nobody complaining about them there. They are saying that the pink color works great for the weaks. Hey, sorry you guys don't get the weaks up there (speckled trout, sea trout) or what ever you want to call them, But I fish for alot more than just bass. Come on down and fish with us. Good luck fishing this year, God bless our troops! Come home safe!!!

Ever get any speckled trout at West End 2? I've heard of a few taken here and there

I hear you can buy Penetrators from Ron at SOL.

Wink

Mike, I caught all sorts of critters on many a W.E II jetty death march.

Yeah, I caught a tarpon and a redfish and a cobia there once.

But I was too skeered to catch those specks - I heer those snaggle teeth can do a number on ya.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

I wonder if I could catch a JFK Boeing 737 with one of dem penetrators...

Talking

I don't know what product you are talking about fishingweewee. But the Penetrators I have, the hooks don't rust. They are VMC hooks. What do you have against this thing anyway? I just picked up some stripers this past weekend on the silver in jersey. Nice fish nothing big around 12 to 14 lbs. I guess you guys up there need a few more weeks for them to make their way up to you. I love the cape!!! Beautiful up there. Keep in touch! Tight lines

it seems that every few weeks these guy(s) get their balls together to start a trolling blitz on the bas fishin sites. They were found to have the exact same IP address on SOL- (did you check this guy John?) and were summarily executed (so to speak). so I will respond here as I did there-
go away(!)

Weakfish in Onset

I like to freeze my penetrator baits so when the bass are busting on top with a quick snap cast my sizzling frozen projectile will penetrate the bass thus turning them into weakfish.

I like the Deep Purple color!

Good health and family

John- I certainly DO NOT speak for TimS, but I would highly doubt that he's gonna sell these things after the antics that these guys are trying to pull. their MO is the same each time- an obvious troll, followed by a good-natured "aw geez" explanation from MarineTropical trying to be all up-front about it... yada yada yada....
