Facebook sucks. All social media sites suck. As an IT professional I can tell you that they use every bit of information you put out there. All social media sites are parasites.

This should draw some neat comments.

Wear double condoms. This is the untold item that most people don't think about, everything you do online can be tracked, cataloged and resold.

I use Ghostery, even on this site, there are 7 cookies that collect info on what I do

striperman36, if only they knew how much info is being collected and tracked. Given the right tools and enough time I can tell where someone has been, how often, what they said, did etc. The IP bounces they took and where it ended up.
And I don't care what you think you deleted, you in fact didn't.

Once when I was with a company that was doing forensics for a couple of government agencies, we tracked some bad actors who did 30 or 35 (I forget) bounces all over the planet. Originated in Indonesia and we finally tracked them to a BOT server in Remo NV.

No boat, back in the suds.

I hate face book. I really do. I can see it's usefulness but it is out of control now.

Kids today are so connected to it that it is like an addictive drug. Hey I know the Internet is cool but this has gone too far.

I still can't see how they make ***that*** much money from it. I know it is targeted ad's but do you see the amount of money they make....Who in the hell writes checks to facebook?

Everyone makes themselves appear so sanitized it's like a corporate event. Just a big act that gives you no insight into who the real person is. They should rename it Facebook Persona

I like how fb will memorialize people's pages once they pass away. Not. So make sure your deactivate your accounts before you pass. Also you cannot delete your account you can only deactivate it.

Hi paul

it is that 2 week waiting period that can screw up the process..as long as you don't go peek, you are good.. know a few folks who have had succes doing it this way.. they did delete all photos and as much as they could from their profile ..first..then hit the first link..and never looked back during the 2 week period... poof...gone. old posts on others walls and such too.
