Since I ended up with Kaenon's my costas don't leave the case. Hadn't even heard of them.

When I lived in Miami ... for flats fishing it was either rose or brown colored lenses for lightening up the bottom, to distinguish contours, changes, etc. ... to more easily spot fish ... the offshore guys always used the grey lenses as they had better protection from the reflection off the water ...

Costas vs Maui's

I have a pair of both. Like the Costa's wide side frames block out the side sun. Had them about a year. the Maui's I have had for 16 years. Sent back 2 times to fix the frames, came back brand new no charge. Finally the lens were all scratched sent them back new lenses $50. Brand new case every time to. Maui Customer Service is awesome. All said either way can't go wrong.

UPDATE: figured id give ya an update since this thread got bumped. I ended up sending back the costas my dog ate and hey gave me a new pair of Rx costa blackfins for FREE!! Great customer service.
