Watching two dozen gannets dive bombing right this very minute. CCB. there's at least one game fish under them.

Same area where there was much activity ~40 hours ago seemed like a dead zone this morning. No bait, no birds, no 'game fish' seen despite lots of nice looking water and the wind in your face.

Did a lot of walking on Cutty last nite for a few schoolies. going 35 mph in an open boat thru the middle of the night this late in the season did bring thoughts of the season winding down.

Depends on where you are southern new england is still experiencing good fishing for quality fish . I believe around here there is at least a full month or more left it's just a matter of wanting to go out and freeze my but off to catch them.

Looks like they are in CT and NY now.

I spent most of the day at state beach in Westerly yesterday. Nada.

Except for the occasional skate.

Still a beautiful day though.

I did see one seal there. Just one.

Saw some Albies breaching around there today. Too far out, tho. Bass and blues were gone. Scored a large blue a bit further east that was feeding on a pod of large bunker. I think it was the only blue in the ocean this morning. Fish acquaintance lost a good bass at the same spot earlier. Tough going for sure.

We are due for a November sea herring run. They seem to come in close every 5 years or so and provide fantastic November fishing, but does not look like this will be the year.

Lost my largest bass ever on Thanksgiving eve in SoCo. Not quitting til Dec 1 or so.

I hate to say it but up on the No. Shore in Mass I think it's over, we have one more weekend to drive on so I'm going fishing, but it just about broke my heart to dump $25.00 of sea worms into the surf

Still peanuts in Gloucester harbor and on the Manchester beaches. Seems to be all horse macs in the harbor ( tons of fun on light tackle). Did have bass on the 24th so not giving up yet with all this bait present.

Yes I agree with all the bait around and the water being 55* it isn't over, but you'll have to be there when the fish travel by

It's not over... they didn't leave... the water is still too warm and there is plenty of bait. Were just experiencing a commercial break... the show will be back on in a minute. Fish hard til december 1st at least.

Well for me it's over.
Last night with perfect conditions, not a single fish or bite or any of the guys fishing the canal last night.

Once I saw the seal cruising the east end I called it a night...and a season.

Returned to the freshwater and will be prepping for the ice season to come.

I am a legend in my own mind!

Lots of schoolies making their way west yesterday along the SoCo coast. Got some cool fotage on the GoPro, but saw nothing over keeper size. Do the big girlz follow the pack of shorties, or do the shorties follow the big girlz?
