Nobody was banned last year, but I think MikeP is referring to an incident which occurred years ago, before the internet age.

That would be correct. This thread started in 2006. Lev's fish was 2007. No one ever said Lev was banned.

The article was aimed at giving both sides and as has been said atm least once in thsi thread...here are many variations and personal ethics are a key in this debate.

Also, remember when you talk about banning this technique the language will ahve to be written to encorporate certain facets that will most definately effect other fishing techniques. Do you put a rubber core in the mouth of an eel, fish a rigged ballyhoo. Prohibition is not the answer. Education is.

I have been fishing the derby since "73" and of the two or three people I can think of who are banned or were banned from the derby I don't believe any of them were caught stuffing weight in a fish.
