I'm not going into details but this weather has turned on the bass fishing in SoCo. I had 10 fish between 9 and 10 tonight and not one was under 35". I don't have any weights because I let all the girls go but it was hot and heavy and, just so everyone knows all the fish were on 4 inch Storms in the holograph color.
I hope the wind change tomorrow doesn't turn things off. This is some of the best August fishing I have seen in a NE wind. Oh and I was in the surf for the 3rd straight night...

No boat, back in the suds.

Good for you, Paul. When are you selling the boat?

My night went like this.....a black cat crossed my path while traveling to the spot.I almost hit the thing. Then, a white cat, about ten minutes later(no kidding) crossed my path and got hit by the car in front of me.I figured the white one cancelled out the black one, so no bad luck right? Met up with Redlite, who was shouting to me, "Its not that deep you pussy, keep going", while I crossed a treacherous rocky trough, almost up to my neck in water. Nearly drowned twice, broke off a decent fish at my feet, got a few dinks and went home cold and tired. Tonight I will head back to my aquarium for some retribution. Oh yeah, met Canalman too. Hi Dave, that spot was as deep as you said it was. Last time I listen to the red lantern, the f!@%$%!%n nut.

Mike. What F*(*&&^^% you are way to experienced to be following redlite, who, by the way, I know and respect. Doesn't sound like you had a lot of fun.
I gotta tell ya. I haven't had a night like last night in a couple of years. Almost forgot how great it can be when it gets good. best part was that I was all alone. This is a spot NO ONE fishes and few know about.

Yeah, it wasn't real bad,Its just that I don't like deep wading.Redlite is my bitch now that Tony's out of action for a while. I need a life jacket and additional life insurance to fish with him, though. Good to hear you got a few good ones. I'll be back tonight in the spot I've been fishing all year, same place I told you I've been getting them. I don't like the spot that much with the northeast wind, which it looks like its gonna be for several more nights. SW wind and you can throw the eels all the way to newport. I'll be with an old surfcasting legend tonight. Maybe we'll see you for a little aftterhours.

Fish till the wind turns
