Don't read into it so hard, it's just a little banter.
Plus this site won't turn into one of those swartz fighting so called fishing sites.

Doing pretty well at Block with stripers (usually get my two, nothing huge), but the kicker is the sea bass fishing this fall. Lots of shorts, but enough keepers to bring home and make a blackened fish sandwich or two (or five).

Maybe they should have two seperate posts.
One asking how your fall season has been out on the boat and one asking how it's been from the shore.

That way we can eliminate a lot of needless bragging and complaining between the various fishing magnates.

Seriously though, two seperate posts would keep the perspectives in line since you couldn't confuse a boat brag with a shore brag.

I am a legend in my own mind!

you better include kayaers, wet suiters and skishers in there too... or anyone that wades a bar,cut or mussel shoal.. or crawls out on a jetty or even drives a buggy over the sand... because we all fish the same water the boat is a vehicle to bring me to the fish..just like a beach buggy.. or your car to the destination.. so unless you are standing on tera firma .. no fish you land counts so it seems...I fish water SHALLOWER than most surfmen .. I fish from a boat so the government and prissy land owners can't tell me where and when I can fish... 6 miles of prime fish habitat is closed on plum island right now... because of the shut down and furlows.. every spring.. the same grounds are closed so we can have fuzzy plover chicks... so instead of whining and crying about it... 40 years ago, I had the insight to know how things worked and LEARNED to fish from a boat.. and contrary to popular belief.. the fish just dont just jump in.. you actualy have to find them... and present to them something they want to kill and or eat...if posting sucess ( when asked) is bragging.. I then appolgise... it wont happen again.. ever.

A good run is better than a bad stand!

I was being serious when I said we recovered, the banter was/is never the problem: the beetching was. Your post was part of the thread recovering back to the former. Not reading into it at all

... and also with you

I'll be Numbskull's Angelo Dundee the cut man.

This has gone askew but entertaining except for the personal findings about fishbones.

I saw a real good one yesterday morning. Today it was tiny fish city. We need some bigger bait.

Don't ever recall seeing someone get under Joe's skin.... I hope he doesn't really stop posting about his catches. This place is better having him as a regular contributor IMO.......

Exactly.

Knowing some one else is catching fish always helps motivate me to get off myass.

Keep setting the bar high, Joe, the vast majority of us enjoy and appreciate it.

And for you RI guys, here is some motivation from today that should be at your feet in the next several days.
