They're here: Part Two
They're getting bigger. 44 pounds on a Boga at time of catch. Probably 42 or so when it gets officially weighed in shortly.
For those who recognize the spot in the photo, the spot is not the spot it was caught and the photo was taken 12 hours later. Go get 'em! Big bass are out there.

Why doesn't Mike ever smile? You'd think with all these big fish he'd be more happy.

Nice bass IMike
Ok....what kind of plug did he catch it on? Looks like a baby blue Tattoo or herring pattern.

Nice fish Mike. Maybe hes not smiling cause the minute it took to take that pic he could probably have nailed another one.

I know of that fish too ,the guy that caught it told me how he gaffed it in the right side in the belly because he was alone in his boat .That would have made a nice wall mount if not for that.

In the close up shot, it looks more like a beachmaster danny in herring than a Tattoo to me. I thought Tat swimmer in the first shot, but I would say it's a BM danny in the 2nd picture. It doesn't mean that is what he caught it on though...

I know I'll get slammed for this, but isnt it a little funny that this pic and the pic of IM with the 60+ fish were taken the day after the fish was caught, and yet Mike is wearing surf gear, sporting his VS and showing thr plug he caught the fish on? Did he dress up just for the pic? He is obvioulsy a great fisherman but its a little too much marketing for me.

I guess it just depends. If you want to have a good shot of a fish you go to the water or be fortunate enough to have a camera on you at the time it happened.
A big dead fish covered in lawn clippings just isn't as much fun.
But I can certainly see why an after the fact photo session bothers people.

Iron Mike on the front lawn in shorts, showing a trophy of a fish, suits me just fine and is very realistic. I have to admit I like that one better too, makes him more of a person to me. Not saying that the first pic isnt nice too , just my .02

And......if you look closely, he is sort of smiling in the lawn pic. So maybe Mike doesnt like the posed shots either?

I was still asleep from fishing all night and really didn't feel like going down to Ocean drive. It was his idea to go down to the water.
I don't "pose" him...

I am glad someone mentioned that because I had a half page rant that I deleted (because I thought it was too much) here was the drift of it though:
He poses more then a supermodel working on a swimsuit issue. The "dress-up" seems more like a Madison Ave ad to me then trying to capture a fishing memory. With the gear and plug arranged just so. Next time put mike in a Aquaskinz thong for us!
And I take nothing away from his catch...great fish!!
