how can you catch a blue from a canoe? It's ahrd to maintain a proper balance and to keep yourself from drifitng away, men. So all of you catch blues by using plugs? How should I rig a wire to a pulg? Simplying buying a pre-made factory wire for a toothy fish?

steel leaders...sometimes I use them but mostly I just use a mono leader of about 30# test (always aim to pleeze the bass!!!)
yeah you may loose some tackle on a blue here and there...but I do okay buy checking it and changing it......when I get lazy and dont change it...thats when I loose...(my own fault...)

Notaro - simplicity is of the order here:
Bluefish - whatever running line (mono is good to start) to an 18-24" 40# steel leader (coated black is fine) with a heavy duty snap on the bottom. Snap goes to the eye of the plug
Bass - whatever running line (mono is good to start) ties to a ball bearing sivel tied to 24" - 36" 20-50#(dependin on fish targeted) MONO or Flouro leader tied direct to plug eye or to a heavy duty snap connected to plu eye
Bass & Blues - at first, stick with the bluefish setup until more comfortable of when to switch on & off...
Just keep it really simple and don't force yourself into too many decisions, causing you to secong guess yourself...

Hey John, do you know what? You are right about that. If my firts attempt failed, all I have to do is to experiment every thing until I get it right, correct? I am going to do it. Hey Johnny, do you how to discard a treble hook from a plug and attach it to it with a single hook? I don't want to get infected like one of the guys on this thread when he caught a viral bacteria from the bite of a bluefish.
Another thing, I can't wait for us to go fishing.
