I know we are all leaving from Weymouth but for your future information MJ, if there is a decent ramp near P-town you are real close to good fishing. You would be surprised at the cod AND Haddock caught right near the beach. The guys trolling for bass look at you kind of strange when your flinging cod jigs. Stelly is not too far off from there. The closest ramp to Stelly for time and milage seems to be Green Harbour, we usually launch from there when we trailer, if its to rough we will hit the H or head North and fish the ledges all great ares.

it's a long drive to drive out to Truro to launch. I just assume heading out of green harbor or weymouth.

I've caught cod less than a mile off P town myself

I would like to try it sometime?? I guess I am going to have to do a search and destrot mission over there soon.

More than likely that will be just fine. Chances are we'll be staying in shore. The bite should be in by then. I typically only use up to 10 oz pipe jigs unless there is a strong wind.

I think there is one seat open in Quick Decision boat?? You should be able to get a seat there.
I don't John boat going to be ready!!

And that should be the last seat there is unless we get a cancle or another boat joins in.

I am glad we had just anough boats and just anough guys to fill them!! I would have hated to say no somone can't go or that boat has to go it alone, This all worked out perfect so far!!

So tell me how this flotilla of yours works.
Do you all go out at once, and circle up when you find fish?

There is a fine line that seperates a fisherman from a fool standing in water swinging a stick.

will cook for food

Find fish and circle the wagons!! Fish away!!

Well I think we will all set out at the same time and when someone finds a good place to fish they can call the others.

I am sure 9 boats are not going to stay toghter all day but we should not all be to far from one another and no one boat should be alone!!

This way we all get fish, have contact with one another, and if anyone gets in trouble someone is close by to help!!

I no some will want to go off on there own, and thats ok but this is a party trip for us all to get to meet with one another, and learn a new fishing area.

I hope we will all stay some what toghter.

Usually when I go out with friends, I like to say we go toghter and come back toghter !! This leaves no one alone.

eathier way I am sure it will be a blast! I just need to get a radio before then!!

I went out on Captain John's for the all day Stellwagon trip with my Dad yesterday.

The fishing was unbeleivable. Well over 400 fish kept, and not too many dogs out there.

Lots of really nice haddock and cod. Saw my first wolffish and sea pout. People with their own gear (teasers etc) definitely caught more than those without but the fishing was superb for all.

The captain said it was one of the top 3 days he has ever had out there.

This trip worked well
The boat holds I think 70 or 80 people.. but they hold this trip to 50 people max...

its a special trip they do on saturdays.. costs a we bit more.. but worth it.

every other slot was empty... not too many tangles (the few dogfish caught were the culprit)

I was out East of Stellwagen yesterday. Caught 14 Cod with 8 keepers up to 13 pounds, 5 Haddock, all keepers to 5 1/2 pounds and quite a few Dogfish-some even on teasers. The fish are out there and I guess the Haddock are moving in shallower. I launched out of Plymouth and ended up doing most of the catching in 150-170 just east of the bank. I had never caught a Haddock on my boat so that was pretty cool. Looking forward to the trip on the 23rd.

RR you only lost two jigs? Around the B thats not bad. Stelly you rarely lose any. Frank if the weather permits Wilcat is not out of the question but the haddock are closer, I'll have some spots.
