For a while there, back when the economy was good, I was getting coffee from
PORTO RICO IMPORTING CO. they are on Bleeker Street in NYC, have been in business for 100 years and supply the high end restaurants.
I was trying all different types and was making headway into becoming something of a coffee aficionado.
There's little more civilized and enjoyable (assuming you can handle it, that it is) than a cup of Hawaiian coffee made in a french press brewed with Poland Spring water, in the afternoon. It really hurt to let go of that. Superb, well-prepared coffee is like a beautiful woman: there's no substitute.
