A little help...is it worth it?

Whats the status in SO CO? Is the wind honking? Are the waves too big? I was thinking for driving down to the inlaws in Charlestown tonight. I don't mind the cold and I am still hunting a biggin' this year.

Opinions?

Fished sunrise this am in general vicinity of c-town, surf was very mild (too mild), seas were calm, wind was from NW and just breezy. Only had time to fish quick before work. Lots of shad in close where I was, didn't catch any bass. There were a few groups of birds on schools out in front, and to the east and west, and bigger splashes further out. No time to wait for them to come in, or to move around I'm no pro, but I will be fishing tonight

Krispy, I'm taking the kids out Sat & Sun AM. C/town & FPR areas, hope to get them into a little tug-o-war with some fish
Have a good weekend!
