Yesterday I went out to second beach and it was dead other then the ducks feeding on BAIT FISH... lol....but no breakers threw the plug for an hour and walked to the point... woah.. tons of schoolies and monster blues in the sakonnet river side, they hit the point and scattered..
I was going to try fort adams this morning but woke up late and i'm too lazy to walk to the beach over there so i'm going to head back to second beach in a few hours and fish till dark... I know there are some monsters still hanging around and i have some herring in the frezer that needs a good thawing.. lol.. my Gammies are ready.. circle 7/0 of course and going to parents house to pour me some 3oz egg sinkers and run to someone thats open to grab me some ande leader material..

I started out in the Weekapuag area yesterday at first light ,had one big swirl behind my swimmer and a small blue jump out of the water behind my plug (missing it) but other than that only saw one big blue caught on bait. Also saw a large flock of birds off the breachway, but way out there.I know that there are still biggin's around but like anything else you gotta be there when they're there. Also went to Charlestown breachway it was dead too.You got a shot at daytime blitz right now but I still think the fishing is better from sunset to sunrise,at least before this cold front came thru, who knows now...johnny "the Ratt Boy"

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ................ SNOOZA last night. west wind had the narragansett side flat as glass.. with very little white water.. My hunch is that this cold snap might get some fish moving around in a couple of days.

Johnny the Ratt Boy, was that you at c-town with the big stick and gold conventional ch#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g a pencil popper about 2/3 of a mile? If so, man you can chuck some wood

Fished the beaches from Point Judith to Quonny at sunrise by boat, very very quiet. Trolled up a couple of blues, but saw NO bird or school activity. Be at it again, there's gotta still fish around for a while yet

bass are still up in the bay and blues. caught some small keepers, would have caught more if they weren't so spook. they would hit and drop hit and drop, then maybe a little spurt. why go down to the beaches when they are in 5-12 feet of water around rocks in the bay.

Along with toonoc I had a pretty dissapointing morning off of South County beaches. I managed one blue fish is all trolling from the C-town Breachway to Quonny. I didn't see any fish working on the surface and plotted very little on the fish finder. I'd love to hear a report from the Bay, was anyone out there fishing today?

Talking

Lots of baitfish in the Bay today.

Hold onto your tackle, there's another large wave of fish coming down from Mass.

decent outing lasted under 2 hours from time left home.. bagged 2 bass about in the low 20's... one after the other.. boom boom left some herring from a flat i got from sam's last week or so..
found some ande 50# in my boat bag..
thank goodness for no blues! well i didn't see any surf was kinda scary since i'm up on a rock and have to climb down to land fish...
next year project is to make a telescopic gaff that opens to 12'..
and work on a new tackle buggy beach cart..

gonna try to plug tomorrow morning in same spot if it's not too windy.. i'm just grateful that my wife never threw out/donated my hunting thermals...
