Unhappy Very Disappointed Lures

I bought a few Luhr-Jenson Swim Oreno's from a local tackle shop. Had hoped to use them this fall and then as patterns for the winter lure turning. Well I am glad I tried them out here first as they aren't worth the packaging. They turn over on the retrieve (spin) which makes its dive not very effective. Am I missing something? Maybe I am not using them correctly?

I really dont like to bash other companies products especially since I love many of the products Luhr Jensen produces. For example the Krocodile is one of my all time favorite spoons, BUT this wood plug line needs some work .
A guy showed me one of these Swim Orenos he used for only 1 DAY at Montauk, didnt even catch anything on it yet. The plug was SPLIT right down the middle front to back . I'm guessing its a sealer problem and or that pretty clearcoat is not flexible and once the pressure build ... CRACK. This guy was shocked cause he just pulled it out of his tackle box to show it off.
Amazing how even big companies like that, sometimes fail to do their testing & research 1st.
