Any suggestions for tackle to land Stripers Off Breachway in Southeren RI

I am making a few more attempts to land a striper off Quony Breachway. I enjoy the sport of fishing with tackle rather than bait. Can anyone offer up some suggestions. I am a somewhat novice fisherman still and looking to land some more knowledge as well.

Tractor beam. Works like a charm.

Spar - most everything that works elsewhere works there. Breachways tend to be a lines#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g where you most often wait in a line, that sucks. Q is overrated

Wear korkers. Quonny is an easy place to land fish. I thing them lipgrip things with the 50 LB scale in them are nice and probably of some use at Quonny. Quonny was good 15 or twenty years ago when there was usually noone else there. No line dance!. Best pole is an Allstar 1088. All the other brands you need the 1089. Conventional 6500 size reel with 35 LB Cortland spectron. An eel with a big hook in it!. I used to like 4/0 hooks then 6/0 or 7/0 now I think the best hook is an 8/0 mustad 3407!! I think that's the best hook cause they don't make a 9/0!! Maybe I'm getting paranoid but the longer I fish , the bigger the hooks I use.

The lines are crazy at Quonny and overrated. I would think 20lb + mono or braids 30lb and over would do fine for breachways. I like to use a 10' rod when fishing them that has enough power to fight the strong currents. A longer rod is easier for me to land fish with and easier to keep line up while drifting

There ain't no lines now. I fished Ctown Bway Sunday night on the outflow and I was all alone.......

But then again I didn't catch squat

Krispy, I thought the bways were your prime domain?

Don't forget to throw some small stuff inside the breachways - I remember last year this time there were a good number of schoolies hanging around between the two jetty walls.
