Bad News

Woodworkers Warehouse is going out of business
They filed for bankruptcy protection Dec. 2 but no one wants to buy them out so they are folding. It's ashame because they had a good amount of things we use. I guess places like Home Depot are knocking them out just like they do to the local hardware stores

I am not surprised. The one near generally does not have much in stock but they will order it for me along with a ups charge. I would rather get from them but Home Depot or lowes has it in stock now. Check out Woodcraft that where I have been going recently good store resonable prices and alot of cool stuff in stock.

Bruce where did you hear that?

I'm not surprised though, they carry alot of junk. Cheap Chinese stuff. That was their biggest downfall.

Use Woodcraft, or even Sears....or online now I guess.

I stopped by Woodworkers yesterday for a few things and noticed the "GOING OUT OF BUISNESS" signs posted. 10% off everything. Got to talking and the guy said there are 95 stores around. Only 35 of those stores turned a profit this year and the holder of the parent franchise missed a payment and that was that.....All 95 stores are going out of buisness. The Cape store was one that did quite well the man said. In fact he stated that inventory from some of the slower areas will be trucked to the cape store cuz its all going fast. Alot of long faces in the store yesterday..........
