Vineyard Report

Fished the Vineyard from Thursday through Sunday. Had heard good reports of fish on East Beach and Wasque before heading out, but the storm from last Tuesday and Wednesday put the cabash on that. We fished these areas quite a bit with no luck. We did have a good night at Cape Poge light on Friday night, lots of bass up to 36" caught mostly on yozuri and bombers with red gill teasers.
Headed over to Lobsterville where there were TONS of sand eels. So many that you had to cast a lot to catch a few fish, but there were some big fish in there if you put the time in. Saturday night again at Lobsterville, again lots of sand eels but this time less fish feeding. A couple of guys in our group did get into a "hot spot" there and had some decent action though. The south shore was unfishable due to the heavy winds kicking up lots of weed all week.
The vineyard is a great place to fish.
