rod storage ideas in van

Since my Windstar serves as a traveling locker room for soccer and little league players, and the assorted gear the coach is obliged to commute with, I am challenged with finding some simple tried and true storage ideas for my toys and gear. If any of you have some proven solutions as to storing assorted rods, broken down or not, up near the ceiling of the van and away from the starting line up, I would appreciate hearing about them. Thanking you all in advance,
Nightfighter

Hey nightfighter, if you look in the cabelas master catalog on page 104 there are some rod roof racks that store your gear on the top of your car, these go for $30-$100. And then in that same catalog on page 105 there a rod holders that store in side the van on the ceiling this one can hold up to 7 rods and it only costs $15. i would say go with the one that holds 7 rods inside your vehicle. Its cheap and versitial.

hope i helped

Nightfighter,
Not sure where they come from, but a friend of mine has a set of nylon straps with velcro rod loops that hang across inside his vehicle. You may wnat to check the catalogs for them. I am sure you could configure them so they hang close to the ceiling and can unhook on one end and hang to the side when the van is loaded with soccer players. Personally I take my rods out of my car after almost every trip to reduce the temptation, but my tackle lives in the trunk. A couple of covered totes might be the ticket to store the rest of your gear. With the sizes availabe you could probably get some to build a little basement behind the back seat and stack all of your other necessary items on top. Good luck.
