Race Report - I feel gooooood !

Yesterday, I went on my annual charter striper trip which was badly needed since my boat won't be ready for some time. This is always a special day because I keep my boys out of school and we go out with a third generation captain who is the best there is (IMO). We have been doing this for the past 6 years or so, and as a very simple benchmark the striper fishery is just getting better and better. Each year the size of the fish has been getting better, but this trip was just amazing. All the fish were fat and healthy. The biggest was 48" and about 50 lbs - what a cow, and there were a couple more just shy.
I know this is just my little annual snapshot, but I like what I'm seeing. Not to mention that it was a calm , sunny, afternoon. Get out there if you can, and if it's possible to get me more motivated to finish my boat, this did it !
