Hey #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&, about them "online" shops and "new" stuff.....

Hey Bill, I was "informed" about your tweak...very nice. You might need to get out of the smallest state in the union if yer head get's any bigger! ;^) Anyway, I'll assume that mine is the "online" shop that "pushes" new stuff to which you were refering...I could be wrong, but lets pretend anyway. Just a couple notes....

Did you ever see, touch, feel, or try any of the "new" things? Then how are you qualified to form opinions about them? Just a thought....

When was the last time you spent time in all the other spots folks fish besides RI? There are other places you know! ;^) They all require different lures, different techniques, and different "thinking caps". A general rule of thumb I go by is that if I ain't done it, I don't tell others how they should do it...but then, I'm not "The #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&", omnipotent striper guy! ;^)

So, my point? I'm gonna be up yer way, leaving tonight, why do you come to the Ditch any night from now till Saturday night and "fish circles around" me? How 'bout Charlie? You can "fish circles around" him as well, no? Let's do it, bring your bucktails, pack some eels. I wanna see some circles! For the most part, I agree, a bucktail jig is the most versatile lure made, I sell loads of them, I use loads of them, but there are times and places for "new" stuff....come on up and prove me wrong, us armchair anglers couldn't possibly be fit to lace up your korkers and are dying to know just what it is we're doing wrong ;^)

Much as JohnM's post, this is mostly in jest, a poke at the king poker, but the invite/challenge is indeed real. How 'bout it Bill?

TimS, your "online" shop was not what he was talking/ranting about "pushing" new stuff. But you can pretend if you'd like....

Anyway, missed you on your last trip up here. Saltheart was trying to get me and Bill down to meet you guys but could not make it... But on that note, I e-mailed you Bill's number. He wants you to call him to arrange a meet.

Enjoy

Can I get the book and movie rights? If I show, I'm bringin' a camera. The Rumble in the Rubble... that's classic!

Oh boy! Sounds like a great challenge. Just a word to the wise since I've fished several times with the both of you. Don't underestimate each other! That would be a mistake.
Since John started with predictions , here's mine. If you fish one of Bills spots on the ocean in RI , the jersey boys are in trouble (even if they add there scores). However , I would really be surprised if anybody could catch more fish than Tim jigging the Ditch. I think you guys should fish one time in RI , One time at the Ditch , and one time in Neutral territory. Again let me reiterate my advice. Tim , Bill's a fishing machine. Bill , Tim has to be one of the most alert and hard working fisherman I've seen anywhere. There are no imposters involved here. Don't underestimate eachother! Good luck to all. I hope I have the time to be there to see it!

RE:Hey #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&, about them

Saltheart...now you really got me stirred up! ;^) The part about "adding mine and Charlie's fish together" and still not competing!?!?! Grrrr.....them's fightin' words! <grin> Looks like we might have to take the great #^&#^&#^&#^&#^&#^& up on his offer to amuse us fast talkin' Jersey boys in some of his home waters....he didn't sound like a trip to the Ditch was something he was into at the moment. He did make note of the fact that one trip in his spots and we'd write the Ditch off! Hmmmm...a couple hours closer to home, better fishing than the Ditch...coupled with our willingness to drive at the drop of a hat....Bill, you sure you wanna do this?!?!? You might suddenly find a couple of us fast talkers bothering your fish each chance we get!

Anyway, we're willing to meet Bill on his own dirt for some "fishing circles" around us...and Saltheart, indeed, your warning has been registered and noted (an asterisk as well)....I never doubted for a second Bill was a fishin' machine....I did make note that he sounds a lot like you on the phone! So, a rumble in the rubble, I dunno if that's the way it's gonna play out, but we'll do what we can to fish on his turf with him...and the offer to let him fish circles around us at the Ditch still stands! Keep in mind, when it comes to the Ditch, Charlie and I are far from our "home waters", we've only made 4 trips to the Ditch in our entire life times! It would just be plain mean to ask Bill to come to NJ for a rumble in the rubble...two reasons, he'd be leaving far better fishing, and he'd be way outta his element in our flat sandy stuff!

Nice talking to you Bill, hope to bump into this weekend!
