Marion, Mattapoisetts, Fairhaven area

Anyone here lauch, slip or store their boat in the Marion, Mattapoisett or Fairhaven area? If so, what marina or ramp and what is the cost? Either to lauch or store/slip per foot? Do you know if they have land storage there? You know, a secure place I can park my boat on a trailer and lauch it 24 7? I'm looking for a quicker way out to the islands this summer and heard it's a third the trip that from the Wareham or Buzzards Bay area.

Thanks for any input.

U M there is a great ramp in Fairhaven that will put you straight across from Robinsons. Also Dartmouth has a good ramp but it is way to busy for me and can get nasty!!!!!!! If you go out by your self I find the Fairhaven ramp the best as it has a good float that you can tie up to as you park the trailer. I think the sticker is $20.oo for the season. I know we now have a new town ramp out to West Island but do not know what we will charge for it or if out of towners will be able to use it. As far as boat storage I will ask around and see what I can find for you.

Thanks GB. I'm also going to call Don's Marine and see if they can ask Pete Atwood for me. I'm sure if any one has some pull or knows someplace down there he does. I checked the boat show in Boston but struck out. I went to Zecco's in Wareham by M&D's and all I could get is a mooring. Onset Marina had rack storage only at $80/foot. Not sold on that yet. I know nothing about Onset Marina except a large yacht sank there a year ago. Don't know the specifics but....

Thanks again for checking for me.

Will do Mike. Thanks again for the great rod. I went looking after I left your place Saturday. I'm only concerned my boat will be damaged during the rack storage process at Onset. The guy working the show explained the whole process to me and started me thinking.

I here ya.
I used the rack for the first year & got tired of it .
I could only fish later hours & had to call ahead to put the boat down it all was a real pain.
