Thumbs up First Edition "Striped Bass Fishing" By Lyman/Woolner 1954

Bought it on ebay for $15.00 plus shipping. Book is in great shape, can't wait to read it and just add it to my collection. Think I got a good deal on it?

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

that is a good read. do you have the SB book by Nick Karas yet? another great read as it gets into more than just the how to. plenty of "why" information. highly recomended.

Yeah

Just got done with that book by Nick Karas last night before I went to bad actually.

That was probaly the best book I have read yet on terms of information about stripers.

Great book.

Yeah T-Lap, I got that one awhile ago, good book. I make a point of picking up just about every fishing/striped bass related book I can lay my hands on as I am a veracious reader. Constantly reading something. Thanks for the tip though. How you doin'?

I saw that on e-bay wouda bid on it but I already had one ...that is a good deal. IMO Wooner is probably the best outdoor writer there ever was. A real gentleman too.
He has a book of short stories called "My New England"...I read them as bedtime stories for my kids when they were yoounger. Wonderful work. This guy truely loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and expressed it like few others could.
I had lost my favorite woolner piece...It was a simple article in a real old SWS about surfcasting on Nantucket with an old guy in the late fall. I must have read it a 100 times in my early surfcasting days while sipping Yukon Jack during the hard core days.

Somewhere, I have to search for it, but I got a copy of the first Saltwater Sportsman. It's more like a newsletter edited by Ollie Rodman, the first editor and owner of the magazine. It has reports of the first bass off of Waquoit in Falmouth that May. I gotta find that thing!

Why even try.........

A year ago or so I picked up a great condition Striped Bass book for like $30. It was SIGNED by both Lyman and Woolner.
