how to paint the flag pattern

if you want a quality paint job you have to start at the very begining."reverse engineer it" think what you have to do in advance and have a plan,or at least have a dream.
you want the primer to be super smooth. 400 grit is ok.1000 is better. if there's any pin holes or gouges/scrathches in the plug they will show up x2 in the finished plug.
spray the colors on dry. that way you can work quicker. 3 coats of dry spray will dry 2x as fast as one wet one.
you need a warm shop. read any can of paint and you'll see "for best results use at 70 degrees" that means the "plug"and "the paint" has to be at 70 degrees, not 50.not 100. most paint will air dry at 70degrees, and every ten degree drop, the dry time doubles. i.e. 4 hrs. @ 70 degrees = 16 hrs@ 50 degrees etc....so if its 50 in your basement you'll have to work very slow.hanging plugs next to a 100 watt light bulb will help the cure time, because the heat they put out.

don't worry about the "shine" untill the very last coat.
the colors will look dry and dull, but when you spray the final coat of clear on they will come to life. and there will be no runs.

get yourself a resparator!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't be stupid!!!!
i use a 3m disposible mask.

i'm spraying into a media filter with a charcoal filter behind it. the fumes are bieng sucked thru the filters buy a fan in the back.this is not something you want to do arround your family w/out charcoal filters to filter out the isosianates in the paint!!!{looking for skull and crossbones key}.

crank up the music and get in the "zone"
