Ok I've let this sit out there for a while. The original thread went 4-5 pages so I assumed there was some interest here. The idea was that members posted boat description, name, home port and
the VHF channel they may or may not monitor. I thought this was a good thing. Not for busting you're spots but more for having friends on the water. If you want it to die an unnatural death don't respond.

You directed the original message to John.
So I figured you were waiting for his reply.

You know there is a list started somewhere on the board, but it was never completed.

I think the geographical range of members here allows only small areas to communicate with each other. I am guessing you boat in boston waters? Mostly we use 69.....

We did this last year and had a pretty long list going. In fact, we also decided to monitor certain VHF channels depending on where we were fishing (RI or Cape)...I met many great SB folks out on the waters as a result of simply calling for "...any SB members out here....."

I am Saucey, 19' Whaler out of Pt. Judith, RI mainly....will trailor up to Cape once in a while for a change of scene.....monitor channel 69.....

I think this is a good idea. But we have to see if there's a way that John could create a sign up routine with a standard format into which we could each put our info and have it saved.

Like our profile files but for our boats, etc.

Whadyathink?

I guess that's what I was thinking. Last year I saw several boats I thought I recognized. The only two I was sure of was Beetle's Casco Bay and the Ave Maria. I would be nice to print out a spreadsheet to bring along so you could at least say Hi

Guys,
The old thread probably exists in the database, why don't we just get it back near the top of the page?
