I just want to thank you people for the generous information that I recieved from this board. I have been having a little trouble finding the mackeral when I need them and was getting fustrated. I've always could catch them now and then but pretty random. But after learning some information on this board ( thanks fisherwoman) and borrowing a 1oz mega bait (thanks steve from mass) I went out yesterday to try and see if I could get some live bait and went to "b" bouy and an hour later my live well had a dozen and a half of live mackeral swimming around in it. Well I started to troll some around little brewster island and my first striper of the day weighed in at 37.5 lbs. We continued to catch fish for the next 2 hours and had a wonderful day. Well almost wonderful, On my way in one of my outboards started making a sound and then just quit on me. ( I know how you feel roccus !!) Well thanks again board this is a great place to learn and share information. Now please send me a list of all your favorite secret fishing spots. (kidding !!)
Congrats Mr Kav, live macs are a ball, right? I'm glad the people on the board pointed you in the right direction.... Good peopl makes all of the difference and there is a heluva lot of good people here...
