Night bite
Hit a few spots tonight with my friend who hasnt fished the salt but a few times when he was younger. He watched me hook into 5 schoolies, while he got skunked. I even had him let me use his rod and told him i would get a fish on the first cast. Got my 6th fish. FIsh were zippin by a foot off the rocks popping at the top, really active. Decided to try another spot , told my friend not too worry that he'd make up for it there with a 30lber, making my little schoolies look like minnows.. Were there for 5 minutes i nail a nice 29 in 12lber. Only have one good rod , so we were taking 5 casts a piece then switching. Then 3 casts after i got my fish he hooks a nice one. It took off, going around some rocks, not turning at all. Gets it up , near the rocks and its a 36 in 19 lb bass. His first bass ever. Both caught on a black bomber.

Sweet. Yet another fisherman who will be forever seeing stripes in his sleep and planning his life around the tides. I hope he is not married. There is nothing quite like your first striper (except your second one, and third one, and fourt.....)
I bet your friend called you this morning to make plans for the next time out...

Too bad - another young man led down the road to wrack and ruin by the seductive call of the she-bass....
