Aaaaa Zazooooosh! Big Blackfish Blitz - Eeeeeeeee.....

I got tired of trout and schoolies so I thought I'd try to catch some fresh fish and chips for Sunday dinner until the big girls show up for the dance later on....

Hit a good spring spot this AM and got my limit on to-tos - 3 nice chinners - a pair of 5.8 lb twins and a 7 lb slob on sandworms.

They were rolling around like trout on the surface, tail-slapping and doing the spawning shimarita - man, were they hungry after it was over - I guess blackfish don't relax with a smoke afterwards

It was a beautiful morning - to me anyway - dense fog, the river was as still as glass and crystal clear, big lion's mane jellyfish driftin' by while I waded. It was so quiet I felt I had to say excuse me after pharting in the water - I think someone mighta heard me at Taylor's.

Life is good....

Hey, could you please pass me the vinegah?

A little more blackfish stew with extra vermouth anybody?

'Nother beer?

Gilly? Milo? Tattoo?

Yeah, I know, Bry - if it's where I think it is I'm gonna find my hat floating if I try to wade it.

I'm gonna call the famous Irish marine biologist Professor O'Nitis to see if he can tell me what's up with spawning behaviour - I mean, outside the obvious.

Uncle Timmy oughta be able to answer a coupla arcane questions I would think.

Besides, I wanna take a trip to Weatherill to see my tax dollars at work, see if I can wrangle an AM cruise on the RV Chafee

I'm gonna bait him with an 1865 copy of an Agassiz book outta my collection - that oughta do it
