Well, there I was this morning, All set to fire the ol' Blazer and head on out to work. I threw the filets from the 22 pound bass I got Saturday off of the beach in the small cooler for a teacher at work then went to start her up. Nothing. I knewe what was going on immediatly as this happened at about the same mileage as my last Blazer and was just thinking that I might need to watch that and bingo, it happened. Well no problem I thought, I will just call AAA and have a tow truck tow it to the local Chevy dealer. Two and a half hours later they show up! They did call though, they were looking for my street in Buzzards Bay ( close I live in East Falmouth), that being the case they needed to get another towing service to came to my rescue. ( Good thing it happened in my driveway and not out on Race Point). Finally they show up just as the girl calls to tell me that they are on the way and sorry for the delay and there will not be any additional charges for the extra mileage. I replied thank you and good thing I didn't need blood which left her with a puzzled tone. I wonder what this is gonna cost me?

What was the problem, Flaptail ?. Just the module? The Blazer is on my list of possible replacements for the "Beach Mobile", unless I hit the lottery.................freakin dreamer I am.

Well here is the scoop. $840.00 later it involved the module, a new battery replacing one that had two bad cells, Distributor cap, wires and plugs and replacement of two front rotors and brakes that had rooted away on the inside ( engine facing side) from Saltwater and sand and a ball joint on the right front side as well. Beach fishing is hard on a vehicle, especially if you run the beach four or five nights a week. I guess it should be expected, the truck is a good one, one of if not the best I ever had on the sand but I beat the snot out of the little thing. Thank goodness it's a ZR-2 off road hi-rider model. I shudder to think what would become of the standard issue S-10 the way I run them. A week from this Saturday starts my two week vacation to do nothing but fish and I feel better knowing I made all these repairs. Now I can think about the fish!
