I have never used them for fluke but I am going to try them this season. I think some of the circles are better made then the wide gaps. I have wide gaps in everysize and material. I like the gami shiner hooks and the VMC wide gap but also have some SS mustads. The strongest are the gami's no question.
But for dead-sticking I think the circles may be better. Anyone use them for fluke?
Yup...
when conditions are right I deadstick one on a circle and jig a second rod... very good for fluke, I use fairly good size hooks (5 or 6/0)
sometimes I use a 2/0 trebble instead... when I'm out for meat
