We couldn't fit any more fish in the fish locker! Largest fish was 25#.....I had a double of 14# and 17#

We went offshore. Got out there around 9:45 and fished until 1:00pm. Most of the fish we hit in one spot. All caught on jigs, though I hear that bait is working well inshore. All cod and one Haddock.

Spotted two ocean sunfish on the way out....sweet day out there. Here's another pic.....

You didn't happen to snap any pics of the Mola Mola did ya? I've never seen one for real so any suggestions for finding them would be great.

Nice fish, congrats.

You''ll swear its a shark as you approach if its swimming.....They are pretty curious as well so don't charge after them

This weekend would be good to spot one as the conditions are perfect.

When we go its gotta be a very nice day! I'm in a 20' so its no fun if you get caught in bad weather.

I've been using 17-28oz jigs w/teasers and fishing in about 250'-350'. If we don't get any fish within 15 mins we move. Generally drift over an area for mile or two, then back again.

Hope this helps.......

When are you going out?

I'm thinking Saturday 7/17. Any chance you are heading out that day too? That's some deep water you are fishing in. You are East of the bank I'm guessing. I only have a 22 CC so I need good weather too. How long are you running to get out there? I'm figuring 1 1/2 hours or so out of Plymouth.

Heading out there tomorrow from Plymouth. I'm in a ProLine 22 CC with a 200 Merc on the back. If you are heading out there Lobsta, let me know.

Did okay out there. Caught 16 Cod, 12 keepers to 15 pounds, 1 decent Pollock and a 12 pound Wolffish all on jigs/teasers. The first spot I started a drift we were snagging herring on the Cod jigs but caught no fish at all and I was not marking any fish either. Ended up about 35 miles from the Plymouth towm ramp.

Sounds like you had a great day out there!! How was the surf? I was inshore on Friday and there were some big swells....Saturday I had little one's with me so we stayed in close.

Did you see anything else? Sunfish? Sharks?

Hope to get out soon........

It was FLAT out there Lobsta. Perfect day to head out that far. We saw a pilot whale and another BIG whale that I could not identify-a Humpback maybe. It was a good day.
